Prior to his career transition into the world of Town Planning, Anthony Barnes spent 10 years as an Architectural Draftsperson preparing development applications for a variety of Councils. As a Town Planner, Anthony has spent over 10 years assessing development applications for local Councils and another three years working for the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
In his role as a Council Planning assessment officer, Anthony assessed and determined a wide range of development applications of varying complexities, including integrated and designated development applications. Anthony’s State government role involved assessment of State significant development applications related to coal mines and other extractive industries.
Anthony brings a wealth of experience to PDC and can help clients navigate the development application processes of local Government and prides himself on being able to translate planning jargon into plain English.
In his spare time, Anthony enjoys keeping active by partaking in mountain biking, a round of golf or a run on the squash court.
